For years I’ve been called a great salesman.

Even when I was a kid people would tell my mom “That kids gonna be a hell of a salesman” and today I still got that rep, among others… ax murdered, seal clubber and juggler of fuzzy kittens, but the truth is that’s bulls*it. I’m a B- salesman with a secret.

I know what people want.

That one skill and no other has made me a very nice living for many years.

So what do people really want?

#1 They want a purpose: Rick Warren sold 25,000,000 copies of the Purpose Driven Life… Do you thank that brutha hit a nerve? Youbetcha!
90% of people on the GLOBE feel they have no purpose and are simply drifting through life waiting to die. Give people a purpose and they
will give you their money, but beware. You better deliver the goods and stay true to the purpose.

#2 They want an identity: Harley Davidson and Mac know this one to well. I have a beautiful Honda motorcycle I never ride, why, because it’s not a Harley. Being a Harley rider is being part of something, It’s a lifestyle and and identity. Mac users are cool and smart, and all I have to do to be smarter and cooler is to pay. What an asshole I must be but I’m a Mac junkie, because I want to be seen as one.

#3 They want to be masters: I like to think of myself a marketing master, I buy EVERY single book, course and read every real blog in the market. I practice guitar 10 hours a week and I still suck, but I have VOWED to master that six stringed son-of-a-bit*h. I want to master it, own it and crush it, and so do a lot of people.

That’s it! The secret keys to the kingdom. I have made MILLIONS from these the beauts and I’m sure you will too. Just remember, you better bring the goods. Pitching these three atomic bombs of persuasion will sell you a bundle but it will ALL blow up if you suck.

English is the mother tongue of the world and you will find English speaking people on every continent and in every country. If you are reading this article then you are one of those people that DON’T speak English as your first language and obviously this is presenting you with a problem.

In what way can this affect you? Well for starters it can affect you in almost every way. If you look at the statistics of how many people worldwide want and need to learn English it’s scary, and it seems that this number is growing everyday of people wanting to learn how. Learn to speak English in an English speaking community and I can promise you that life gets easier, period. Let’s look at some possible downfalls of a lack of English speaking ability.

1-It can limit your ability to find a good job or any job for that matter.

2-It may stop you from getting a promotion or increase due to communication issues.

3-It can limit the amount of friends you can make.

4-Cause problems in schools, universities and any learning environment.

5-May stop you from emigrating because of the communication boundaries you will face.

6-You may be getting pre-judged by others in your community.

7-General loneliness or a feeling of not “fitting in.”

These are but a few of the issues that non-English speaking people are faced with.

However, fear not because there are MANY ways to learn English provided you put in the effort.You may ask: How? Learn to speak English?! Yeah right…Well if this is your attitude now then that is the first thing you need to change. If you are already a positive person who is ready to tackle this language and tame the “English beast” then you are half way home my friends.

How? Learn to speak English? Lets go!

Tip 1:

Read as many newspapers, articles and magazines as you can. Find a topic you are interested in and read all that you can about it. You will be surprised at how fast you will learn. Repetition is the key to success with this.

Tip 2:

Ask any English speaking friends or family members to speak to and answer you in English.This will help you put into practice what you are learning from reading. Another advantage of this method is the grammar and “style” that you will learn regarding the English spoken language.

Tip 3:

Keep a translation dictionary with you at all times to translate a certain word as you hear it. This keeps learning fresh and up to date.

Tip 4:

Keep a diary of your progress as this is a great way to see and track your progress.

Practice, practice and…did I mention practice?

So when you get a question like this popping up in your head:

Arrested for no tip

Couple Arrested for No Tip

This falls in the category of WTF: A couple in Bethlehem, PA was charged with theft for refusing to tip a waitress for what they say the service sucked.

The two college students had dinner with a group of friends and said the service wasn’t worth the 18% mandatory gratuity.

For starters, they waited almost an hour for an order of chicken fingers and fries, had to find their silverware for the table, and had to get their own drinks.

So when the $73.00 bill arrived at their table, they paid for the food, drinks, and tax but stiffed the waiter the $16.00 tip.

When they explained their reasons to the bartender, he called police, (jerk-off) and they were arrested.

“Nobody wants to be forced to pay a tip or get arrested for terrible service,” explained Leslie Pope, who was arrested.

“I understand that we did not pay the gratuity,” said John Wagner, who was also arrested. “But it was a gratuity. It’s something that’s not required.”

The cops charged everyone in the group with theft because the gratuity was part of the actual bill, now they will ALL have an arrest record, no matter what happens in court.

Land of the free, and the home of the brave. We better wake people.

My faith in the American people was restored this week when even Fox news finally realizes that Glenn Beck is crazy as a sh*t house rat. Of course the brain trust at Fox didn’t come up with this theory on their own.

Beck’s audience dropped off by 33% in a single quarter. Remember, these are Fox news viewrs, that said “Dang, that boy is too much for me”

That’s like Charlie Sheen saying, “no I’m driving, I ‘ll just have an iced tea”
